Premiering at Industrial Film Fest, TALKING HANDS delves into the story behind my photography project and the workers who shared their experiences with me. By filmmaker Emma Buglisi. Watch it here.

I seek to create a sense of connectedness through making art with and about people. I’m interested in hearing and sharing people’s stories, using art to foster understanding, belonging and pride within communities.

I provide my services to community and government organisations, producing community arts projects. These projects aim to create artworks that engage and connect the local community in surprising and inspiring ways.

Talking Hands and Night Shift were both innovative ideas that had a strong participant and audience response due to Zoya’s authentic engagement with a cross-section of the local community who may not normally engage in the arts. Zoya was able to capture images that tell narratives of local histories that move and engage audiences.

She captures photographically engaging ideas and presents them in innovative environments. Zoya is an exciting artist to commission and collaborate with.
